What’s a good thing that happened because of you in the last week?

woman crying

I've seen a lot of people cry this week.

And, each of them made me smile.

Now, before you start to think I'm participating in shadenfreude (deriving pleasure from someone's pain) let me explain.

None of the people that I witnessed crying this week were suffering, in pain, or even talking about anything negative.

What made them cry was much more impactful than that.

To them, and to me.

It's important, and helpful, to talk about painful stuff in our lives.

But, more often than not, it's much easier to have those kind of conversations than the kind of conversations that made those people cry this week.

Each person that shed a tear this week had one thing in common.

They were confronted with their impact.

Through the questions that the other members were asking, they were able to do something that we all struggle to do alone - see how we've made someone else's life better, get a glimpse of the powerful and positive impact we have on the world, and directly confront our innate goodness.

Because, when we do, it can be scary, surprising, and overwhelming.

It's also something that doesn't happen nearly enough in the world we live in.

Which is why I'm so glad I got to see it.

And I hope you get to experience it too.
